You can be assured that we provide equipment designed for
comfort, safety and quality. While on the water or in remote regions, you won't have to worry about your gear while on expedition
with Emerald Seas.
Kayaks-Sea
kayaks are surprisingly stable when expedition loaded. All sea kayaks used by Emerald Seas are modeled after traditional "Greenland
style" paddle craft. They are extremly swift and easy to paddle. We use the information provided to us from the reservation
form and the "about you" questionare to match your height, weight and paddling experience (or lack of), with a kayak from
our fleet. This way, we are better able to assure that everyone is able to paddle at a comfortable pace as a group ensuring
a pleasurable experience for every one.
Paddles-We
provide paddles of modern design and materials. They are extremely strong and lightweight. You will appreciate the quality
after a few hundred paddle strokes.
Tents-Our
tents are very comfortable with roomy interiors, generous ventilation and waterproofing. Our top quality tents fit all these
criteria perfectly. Two people share each tent with plenty of room for all your gear. Three person tents can be arranged for
special circumstances.
Sleep Systems-Each
person will be issued a clean, comfortable, three part 'sleep system' of superior, quality materials . We have spent
many nights testing different combinations of this 'system', adjusted for the forcast temperatures. This is much better than
being issued a sleeping bag that has seen more than a few seasons without a cleaning.
