Expedition Leaders
Phil Eversole
Phil has led a very
colorful life and has a lot to share...paddling the Bahamas, Puget Sound, Florida Everglades, Atlantic surf of Florida and
Georgia, San Juan Islands and many of Floridas lakes and rivers, rafting the Columbia and canoeing rivers all over Ohio. Other
accomplishments include, climbing Mt. Rainer, biking and trekking all over Germany and France, cliff and helicopter rappelling,
cross country skiing, marathon running and even rodeo bull riding. He has worked with 4-H clubs, Youth Conservation Corps,
and Special Olympics. Phil is now ready to share sea kayaking with you and would really rather hear about your experiences.
We are certified excursion experts. Safety is
our priority.
John Ennis
John Ennis is
a BCU trained paddler who retired from journalism 10 years ago to begin a second career as a dedicated sea kayak guide
and instructor. He has paddled most of the Gulf coast region of Florida and its rivers as well as Baja and portions of the
Bahamas. He has also circumnavigated most of the Chesapeake Bay (this nation's largest estuary) as well as the Charlotte Harbor
area, the third largest estuary in the United States.
Jessica Schmidt
Jessica is a very enthusiastic paddler.
She gets on the water at every opportunity and her sunny disposition is infectious. She has attended BCU training, has a 'clean'
Eskimo roll and has one of the best forward paddling strokes I have ever seen. Jessica has completed an Outward
Bound course in an attempt to expand her already extensive outdoor experience.
Jessica is off for higher education, so she will not be joining us in the winter
months.
Best wishes to Jessica
